Below are the terms and conditions related to the ‘Start Writing Your Novel course spot giveaway’ being run by The Story School Limited, registered in the UK. For any enquiries related to this giveaway and its terms, please email info@the-story-school.com.
Giveaway period
Entries to this giveaway are open from Wednesday October 15 2025 at 19:00 British Summer Time until 23:59 British Summer Time on Wednesday October 22 2025. Any entries submitted outside this period will not be accepted.
Entry requirements
This giveaway is open to all UK residents aged 18 and over. No purchase is necessary to enter.
To submit an entry, entrants must complete the form on Instagram or Facebook, including providing their full name and email address, which will be used in line with our overall privacy policy. They must answer the two questions provided in the form. One entry per person only. Any entries found to be fraudulent will be disqualified.
By submitting the form, entrance agree to these terms and conditions and our website privacy policy, and consent to being contacted for marketing purposes and course updates.
The Story School takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
Facebook and Instagram are not affiliated with this giveaway in any capacity.
The prize
One (1) winner will be selected at random (using a random number generator) from the entrants to win a place on our ‘Start Writing Your Novel‘ course, which begins on October 28 2025. The prize is valued at £399. The prizes is non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.
No costs associated with completing the course (e.g. internet access) will be paid for by The Story School.
To accept the prize, the selected winner must confirm that they are available on Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm GMT for eight weeks, starting on October 28, 2025 and concluding on December 16, 2025.
If the winner is not available, they will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be drawn.
Contacting the winner
A winner will be selected and contacted on or before 23:59 on Thursday, October 23, 2025. They will be contacted using the email address provided during the entry process.
The winner will be required to confirm their availability to take the course within 48 hours of being contacted. If they don’t respond or are not available, their prize is automatically forfeited and another winner will be drawn at random. They will be contacted ASAP and will also have 48 hours to respond.
Other T&Cs
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Story School’s reasonable control, The Story School reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
- The Story School’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The winner’s name and social media username may be posted on the social media profiles of The Story School after the winner has been selected.
